    PRESBYTERIAN ORDAINED

Tin note Hay, grass, some lite sweetness, some slight herbal notes in the background. Presentation is wonderful light brown flakes. I have tried both rubbing out this folding the flakes in. My preference is folding the flakes as the flavors seem to become more rich as the bowl burns down. This is a super straight VA with just a small bit of casing, could be some herb mixture and a bit of sugar water. It has a very rich VA flavor of hay and grass with just the correct amount of sweetness and some slight citrus. I don't find any tongue bite whatsoever, but if puffed hard it will burn quite hot. Nic hit is mild to medium. Easily an all day smoke. Personally I find it in the top 5 of my favorite bright VA blends and would recommend it. i burned through my first tin fast and scooped up 4 more. I expect this will age very nicely.

    I have been Ordained

This is my 1st time with this blend, and I thought if I didn't like it, I could always gift it. I have had problems lately with Virginia's as they are starting to really bite. Now, lots can be said about why, but I find stored doesn't bite, but almost every other Virginia does. Got ny order in, and opened a tin... insert standard review notes, smells like... looks like... whatever, I have the palate of a Billy Goat. 1st bowl and I thought it was very mild, and kind of a single note... then decided to have another... still mild, decent flavor, some sweetness, and then it hit me... NO BITE! Now I don't know if other Virginia's I have put down to rest will mature like this, but it's enough to make me convert! Glad I bought several tins and I am going to need more!!

    Not bad. Not great.

Tin note was pleasant. Moisture level straight out of the tin was perfect for smoking. Flavor is mild, and a bit bland. It's not the worst thing I've had in my pipe, but certainly not the best. I wouldn't purchase again, but mainly because I prefer a stronger smoke. Worth a shot if you enjoy really mild flavored tobacco.
