Part of HU Tobacco's Original Warehouse line, the Director's Cut blend is based on a traditional Virginia/Perique curly cut, matured as a rope and then cut into slices. The blend's expressive Virginia notes, strong Perique core, and added Burley are complemented by Virginia Loose Cut and a touch of Fire Cured Virginia.
I'm on my 3rd tin of HU Directors Cut. I won't write all the flowery crap others do but this is the best Virginia-Perique I've smoked since McClelland is gone. Smokes as well as the tobacco from 40 years ago. Yes I started smoking a pipe 40 years ago, as a matter of fact I bought my first Joby Canadian in 1962.
Enjoyed way better once dried out. Very enjoyable easy smoke. Aroma was incense like. 8.5 ????
