HU Tobacco The Untouchables a 100g Tin

This one caught my eye for two reasons: being perique/DFK -free, and the cedar topping. I am a fan of oriental tobaccos, particularly the type with a cedary, terpene (pencil) note. (I think it may be Macedonian.) Cedar is quite present in this blend, making it a pseudo virginia/oriental. Although present, it isn't overwhelming. I was unable to discern the reputed roses from the rest of its unique flavors; no Lakeland essence. The red virginia and unflavored cavendish tobaccos are mildly sweet as expected. Overpuffing will cause harshness, also as expected. Some drying time helps keeping it lit. Notably, relights (aka DGT) later are a delight, like rewarmed chili can be. This blend is not for everyone, one has to like cedar, and it requires slow puffing like other virginias. This is an initial review based on five bowls of newly tinned product. I don't know how it will age, cedar is a new topping for me and I don't know about its stability. That said, cedar is famous for humidor lining. I like it.
