Wow.....love this blend. Wish I would have grabbed more. This may be my favorite blend from WC or at least in the running. Cant wait for it to be back in stock.

Tin note is superb - herbal with stone fruit notes. Ready to smoke right out of the jar. At first light, the Virginias dominate and play well together. The perique adds notes of stewed fruits. Easy, pleasant retrohale. No harsh notes down the bowl to dottle. A few relights along the way. Slightly dry but pleasant aftertaste. Purchased 4 ounces but pound will be the next order when available. One of the best tobaccos I've smoked definitely a keeper. Outstanding blend!

    Bostonian Rhapsody

I have had two bowls of this so far. First was in a bent acorn with a mid-size bowl and the second was in a large pot. In both instances I got a strong chocolate or cocoa smell. The tin note is surprisingly floral with strong fig and stone fruit. The dark Virginias are forward and the red Virginias create a very nice harmony. In the bowl that cocoa doesn't last past the first few puffs, but that dance of the Virginias is so graceful and elegent with a full mouth feel without being to strong. The perique is so good, the ripe, plumy and stewed fruit blends so well without being to strong or too light. I absolutely love this blend and have a hard time comparing it to any other blend. It sits alone and in my opinion it is a strong candidate for my favorite tabacco of the year. I am sorry I only purchased 4 Oz as a taste test and when I went back to get more it was sold out. I look forward to restocking when it comes back.

    Quite Aromatic, Good Quality

Starting the first bowl, I was surprised at how much topping was present. I suppose the "Stoved Virginia" ingredients should have given it away. Sweatened cavendish, I suppose. Quite yummy, and the Virginias can be sampled throughout the smoke, about equal with the delicious added flavors for the first portion. It's very good, but do not for an instant imagine it's a natural Virginia blend. Farther down the bowl, the Virginias shine through stronger and stronger. I expect these flavors to coalesce even more with aging. Perique adds just a little interest and is properly integrated, adding a bit of pepper to the palate as the smoke progresses. The tobacco burns well with few relights and is ready to smoke without drying.
