A well Blended mix of red Virginia and stoved. Savory, rich, light on the palate. Easily an all day smoke.

I would say that what strikes me about this is how nicely balanced it is, certainly among the best va/perique blends I've ever had. Should age very nicely. I had trouble keeping it lit at the moisture level it was shipped, but a little drying should remedy that.

This blend can be ordered separately, or as one of the "Virginia Sampler" selections. I wasn't sure what to think at first. But I discovered that it smokes best when packed quite tightly. Requires only minimal drying time. Naturally sweet flavor, reminiscent of a McClelland tobacco that had both red & black flakes packaged in the same tin. Highly recommended for all the Virginia fans!

Very complex Virginia blend. Exceptionally smooth and will not bite, which says a lot for a Va. Another masterful blend by Watch City.

This blend is almost pure perfection. From the tangy vinegar smell, to the perfect sweet and fullish flavor when smoked, its just perfect for me. If you could smoke salt and vinegar chips, this is what i would imagine it would taste like. Bready, vinegary and slightly sweet. And yet another home run by ernie! This blend is so good I wish it was available all the time. I would buy it constantly. Now I cant wait to try roux in october!

This is an amazing blend for any Va lover. Tangy...sweet...fragrant and incredibly appealing. I will definitely be ordering more when available.

Service was excellent. Moisture content in bag was proper level, not too damp. Ten minutes of dry time was sufficient. Smoked in briar and cob. Briar worked best, medium sized bowl is recommended. Flavor is sweet, sour and zesty. Perhaps a tad monochrome going down the bowl but will definitely keep your interest. Burns easily and effortlessly to the bottom with a couple tamps. Nicotine level is mild. Might improve with age but could also lose some of its desired zesty flavor; consequently, fresh may be preferred. Another solid Watch City offering Virginia lovers should appreciate.

This has just grown on me so much I had to get more. I'm no good at this really but I will give it a shot. You can no doubt taste the Simply Red in the blend but there is SO much more going on. Sweet but the spices come through and a bunch of other flavors. I really wish I had a pallet that could understand what I am tasting but unfortunately... Burns great, no bite and I'm sure I have pushed it just because it's so tasty. Fantastic blend! If any of the components are "up your alley", give it a try I don't think you will disappointed. This has become what I reach for more often than not and when I saw it was available had to get more. I guess that says more than what I can write.

This SR as the base.. this blend is simply amazing. Sweet and flavorful and everything I want in a VA blend. 10/10 will buy more when it comes back in stock.

Start with Ernie's great "Simply Red" blend. Add some spice and stoved tobacco to an excellent base, and you have a sophisticated blend that hits every note perfectly. Just sweet enough, and just spicy enough to be an all day blend. Burns cleanly, doesn't need much drying, leaves very little moisture in the bowl. Unless I'm interrupted, it's a single match from start to end. Easily a Top Ten blend in my rotation.
