What, are you drunk? You'd have to be to enjoy this wonderfu...weird tobacco. The days of sailing ships are long gone, tobacco should come in tins, not look like coiled dog turds. Ok, so the rum mellows this strong tobacco out nicely from being a punch in the mouth to just being rich and delicious, that's still no excuse for it's ridiculous form. And on top of that, it's nic loaded. If you are used to smoking 1Q or some other gentle aromatic, put on some Depends and get ready for the hiccups. You know what? Don't worry about it, I'll take care of getting rid of this stuff. Move along, nothing to see here folks.
The rum mellows and rounds out the tobacco but never detracts from it. It compliments it perfectly. Warm, deep, rich and smooth. This is nic heavy so if you are nic sensitive, tread lightly.
I didn't know if I'd like this. Enough that I ordered some years ago and forgot about it. Having just found it over Christmas, I wish I hadn't waited. It's delicious with an abundance of flavor so I ordered more from Watch City. I don't get the cigar notes others seem to get which is good as I am not a big cigar fan. As for nicotine it would be past medium. It is warm, deep and rich tasting. It doesn't change a lot throughout the bowl and it doesn't need to. There isn't much of a rum taste but I do think it imparts a richness, smoothness and a roundness to the the tobacco that Happy Bogie doesn't have. Either way, this one works for me. 4 Stars. Little wonder this has been around for centuries.
