McConnell Oriental 50g Tin

There are already numerous reviews available for this one. Simply stated, this is Oriental done right. It's fairly dry out of the tin and a lighter bodied smoke than others I've previously sampled in this category. The other tobaccos are intended to complement the Orientals which they do nicely. The Orientals become slightly less dominant going down the bowl. The blend is not overly sweet as the Cavendish is barely detectable. Sufficiently cool burning, I prefer it in meerschaum. The Orientals will still retain their form after time in the tin. Those more inclined to a stronger Latakia presence may not favor this one which could account for it flying under the radar in some circles. Otherwise, this is a top selection for those looking to dip their beaks into Turkish Orientals as well as lovers of the leaf.
