Co-Created with our friend Jim "Jiminks" Amash...the Sultan of Smoke! JGT Is a natural, uncased blend of Bright Virginias kissed with enough Izmir to make it noticeable. Although this zesty golden blend has less Izmir than it's sister blend Simply Gold, here the lack of any casings brings this blend more into the realm of a straight VA/OR. Floral, Zesty and full flavored with citrus, hay and grassy notes.

Read on for more on how this blend came about.

At Jim's suggestion a couple years back we started on the path to make a Bright Virginia based blend worthy of the name "Simply Gold". Plans were scrapped when Sutliff went away and the project was shelved for a year until I came across a Bright Virginia Ribbon that not only stood on it's own but took to blending and casing well.

On the path to Simply Gold, two other blends were born- Simply Cavendish and Jim's Golden Ticket. Similar in formula, each has it's own character with Jim's Golden Ticket being somewhat like the earth-crunchy blonde you secretly crushed on in high school.

    Simply one of the best

This is probably my favorite of the new Va Cavendish blends cooked up by Ernie G. and JimInks. It's got the grassy, bready notes from the virginias, the spice and slightly sour tanginess from the Izmir, and the cavendish smooths it all out and gives the blend a little, but not too much, sweetness. If you're turned off by the cavendish label, don't be: this is a complex, flavorful blend that's still approachable enough to be an all day smoke. Perfect balance. Gold medal!

This blend is a milestone for me. Light but thoroughly flavorful. Will become a regular in my rotation, next to Boston Rhapsody, Old Black Magic, Persian Slipper, Ernie-Ental, and Simply Voriental. A very delightful blend.
