The evolution of our Discontinued Ahab's Comfort! Pequod is the older sister of our Seventy-Eight mixture. Not as sweet with a bit more complexity. Again we start with 60% Latakia and add our Simply Red virginia, Blended Turkish, Unsweetened Black Cavendish and a bit of White Burley for body. Well suited for the evening.
My two favorite Watch City blends are Ahab’s Comfort and F.U.S.T.G., so I was worried when I heard the former was being discontinued. I shouldn’t have been. Pequod Cake is a worth successor to Ahab’s Comfort and might even be better. I’ll need to smoke more to confirm whether that’s the case, but this is as flavorful an American blend (English with Burley) as I’ve smoked.
