Description

Simply Cavendish is a mostly Bright Virginia ribbon blend with just a touch of Cavendish processing to accentuate the natural sweetness and aroma accented by just a touch of Izmir Turkish. A mild and tasty "Golden Virginia". If there is such a thing as an "All day smoke" this is it!

Simply Cavendish - Perfect for Warm Evenings

Posted by Charles Richard Lano-Bucklin on Sep 10th 2026

When I smoke one of my pipes, I usually fill them with a nice VaPer or an occasional Latakia blend. But it's been hot here in Sonoma County so I wanted to try something lighter in flavor. Since I've been very pleased with WatchCity blends I thought I'd try this blend despite it being labeled a "Cavendish." I'm pleased to report that this one didn't disappoint. I think if you are looking a tobacco that has a slightly sweet and creamy flavor - this might scratch that itch. Perfect for warmer evenings when you want to smoke but don't want to be overwhelmed by a heavier blend.

It is very good, but just needs a wee bit of bite.

    Remarkably Pleasant

If you're searching for a Va blend with a little more complexity and spice, but not too "busy", you've found it. Makes a great every day smoke, bright, citrusy virginias get an incense note in the second half of the bowl that elevate it beyond most virginia based blends. Really nice!

    Simply Cavendish

This stuff is so sweet and delicious. Like a bowel of Corn Pops. I'm drawn to it like a cookie jar; I have to fight the urge to dip into it every time I'm perusing my cellar. I don't know if this is considered an aromatic (which do nothing for me) but, to my taste, it's a Virgina blend along the line of Sutliff 707 and a few Mac Baren offerings. It's also great for tempering and sweetening other blends. Anyways, this is a new favorite that's deserves to become a classic.
