Description

Not dry and strong like the tobacco Holmes kept in the toe of a Persian slipper but more like the slipper itself?soft and comfortable! This is a blend in the Scottish tradition which leans toward the Oriental. Izmir Turkish, Green River Black, Crumb-Cut Burley, Latakia, a touch of Perique and a bit of Carolina ribbon for a nutty sweetness.

    Persian Slipper

I'm fairly new to a pipe, so take it for what it's worth. I bought Persian and Glass Slippers and tried them both out with my brother. I very much enjoyed the Persian. My brother preferred the Glass. Normally, I prefer English blends and he does not, and I think that makes sense here, as I got a very English vibe from the Persian even though I am not used to burley in them. It has some good flavor to it, has good smoke. I can definitely see this becoming a daily blend.

    Very Well Balanced Blend

This is a very well balanced blend that I have come to really enjoy. It's never boring, and does not overwhelm the palate. This one is a home run blend for me.

    Appropriately named.

I like this when I want something different from my usual English blends. Well balanced, but certainly not boring. Four and a half stars.

This is another awesome blend. The orientals are sweet and work well with the Cavendish. A excellent blend for aromatic smokers who want to cross over to English. Or an English Smoker who wants a little change of pace.
