Description

A veritable plethora of different leaf, this rough to crumb cut mixture of stoved Cavendish, Black Cavendish, bright Virginias and our own "Crumb Cut Burley" is very lightly seasoned with a measure of St. James Perique and a near imperceptible amount of Latakia which serves to cool the blend. naturally romatic and dry burning with sweet undertones. Quint’s Own

Another wonderful blend from Watch City. I found it to be as described. I ‘m no expert when it comes to pipe tobacco blends, i give all the blends from Watch City that I have tried so far five stars. They are all that good. I’m still on the hunt for that one blend that comes closer to the original DPE mixture that came in a real tin and was sold by Ehrlich ‘s in Boston. Ehrlich’s is gone and the current DPE is not the same at all. I wonder if there was deer tongue in it. I understand that it is not used in pipe tobacco anymore because of its pharmalogic properties and potential liver toxicity. Anyway, my favorite blend from Watch City is Deluxe Crumb Cut, which comes closest to that Oh Yeh moment I got with DPE.

    HOLY SHAZZBOT THAT'S GOOD

    Posted by Lefty919 on Dec 5th 2022

It's been a while since I've been a few puffs into a bowl and stopped to say to myself "damn that's good". In my cellar I have some "top name" tobaccos, some with a couple years on them but I find myself reaching for Quint's Own time and time again. Far as a description goes, one of my favorite blends is Presbyterian, and Q.O. reminds me of a "darker" Presbyterian in the same way as a coffee or chocolate or better yet think whiskeys, if Pes. is a bourbon, Q.O. isn't a scotch(not a lat.. bomb) but more like a good Rye. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Not anywhere near an expert on tobacco blends but I’ll tell you this blend is my absolute favorite! I stopped by the shop on my way to Logan from CT and picked up a small package and have been ordering it ever since! Highly recommended!!

Fabulous blend. Why waste time describing what I think about this or that flavor, blah, blah, blah? It's like love - you'll know it when it happens. And it happened here.

This is one of those blends that I return to time after time. I enjoy several, but this is in my top 4 and I don't see it losing that spot. Sweet, lightly smoky, a hint of spiciness, and a very pleasant sweet after taste. A winner for me!

One of my favorites! As soon as I open the jar the note let's me know this is going to be good. The Latakia is not over powering and makes for a cool smoky experience. I look forward to a bowl of this. I've also had very positive comments from none smokers about room note. Very smooth, no bite and leaves a great after taste.

A perfect all day smoke, an instant all-time favorite. Subtle, yet rich in honest, high quality tobacco flavor. A masterpiece of tobacco blending.

    No Reviews? What’s the deal?

Posted by Kelly Gindlesberger on Sep 5th 2019

There are only two possibilities for no reviews: 1. Everyone’s too busy smoking it to take the time to write, or 2. No one wants to admit how good this blend is and create a shortage. I’m not sure how to define this blend, it is everything an aromatic hopes to be without the problems of so many aromatics. Ernie does with tobacco what others try to do with toppings and flavors. I don’t know who’s doing what in this blend, my palate isn’t that sophisticated, but there are sweet tones with the spicy fruitiness of the perique peeking through along with the occasional hint of smoke. Nothing overpowers and everything works in harmony to produce a cool, calm smoke that is complex and subtle all at the same time. My only mistake was not ordering more; a problem easily rectified.
