In Moby Dick, The Pequod's second mate, Stubb, is a pipe-smoking Cape-Cod man, good tempered and "neither craven or valiant." A perfect description for this blend of our Crumb Cut Burley, light, sweet Carolina Flake, and just a touch of Virginia and Green River black. A very light unique aromatic is used and carried by a small measure of ship's rum. Delicious, cool, naturally fragrant and mild.
A tad more woody flavor than the Deluxe Crumb Cut (which has a deeper (preferred) flavor). Cut of this blend stays lit easier than the crumb cut. Another excellent representation of the "old school" burley forward genre....PH of smoke totally bite free for me!
Tried this blend on a recommendation from a pipe club member. Very happy with it. Quality aro that let's the burley shine through. Very enjoyable blend. Love the Moby Dicks blends.
Virginia and Burleys mesh nicely in the quasi-aromatic tobacco. Some nutty, woodsy and a hint of sweetness for me. Burns nicely. Could smoke this regularly. Great buy, will be purchasing some more of this.
Another wonderful burley based mixture. As with the deluxe crumbcut, it has a pleasing taste and aroma. Pack it loose and smoke it slow. No tongue bite.
One of the most unique burly blends I have ever experienced. It burned cool, and the flavor was truly incredible. Definitely in rotation for good.

Classic OTC codger style burley blends are definitely the sweet spot for me and this blend is a close contender for favorite in that genre. What I pick up mostly is a very nutty, slightly woody burley flavor with an ever so subtle hint of cocoa underlining and pushing the burley flavor forward. The Virginia adds a mild, just right sweetness. Though I would not classify this as an aromatic, the room note is a beautiful thing. Smooth, mild, though rich in flavor and never bites. An all day smoke that has replaced a couple of beloved blends in my rotation.
