Watch City's Beacon Blend (Bulk by the Ounce)

As I always do, I purchased a couple ounces of Beacon Blend to sample. When it arrived, the moisture was good and it looked very nice with all the cubes being evenly sized. First bowl wasn't bad but didn't really taste like anything special. It wasn't until I had gone through the entire sample that I realized, Beacon Blend had very definitely grown on me. The Burley in this is fantastic. It doesn't demand attention but instead provided a very gentle, very captivating expirience. The cubes burn very slow and results in plenty of quality time to spend letting your thoughts wander. Needless to say I ordered another pound right away. Thank you Watch City for what is, in my humble opinion, a homerun blend.

Wonderful room note. A little slow starting, but stick with it. A good alternative to Deluxe Crumb Cut with a little vanilla or floral note - but the burley is the star and it’s very nice. All day smoke!

I like it. No bite. Trying to find something close to Field & Stream. This is close.

I have yet to try Old North Church so I won't draw comparisons, but this is a very tasty blend. Nuttiness and subtle chocolate notes throughout, and a really pleasing aroma. Definitely one worth coming back to!

Sweet and savory woody flavor, smooth, with a bit of a very light smokey after scent lingering in the nose without tasting like a campfire. This isn't just the same old basic burley, and the effort shows. Good, full flavor without being overwhelming. Absolutely phenomenal blend, well balanced, no bite.
