Just tried my first bowl and found it to be delightful. I would describe it as a light aromatic blend that does not overshadow the tobacco itself. It burns well, with minimal relights, and notably, my pipe bowl did not get hot. Cool smoke. No tongue bite. I will definitely be ordering this again. This is my fifth house blend from Watch City. I plan to try others.
Lane 1-Q was the first pipe tobacco I ever tried, and still one of my favorites. I heard if Watch City through a pipe group and wanted to see if the hype was real. No regrets at all! 4-Q lived up to the description and is a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended to those who like aromatics and want to try a new “old” blend!
This is an outstanding take on a very popular blend. The tobacco comes at a perfect moisture level, the casing is not so strong as to mute the tobacco flavors, yet still comes through on the palate. If you like aromatics, this is a must try. I'm not normally an aromatic smoker but I enjoy this one very much.
