Description

In chapter 100 of Moby Dick, Captain Ahab meets Captain Boomer of the British whaling ship "Samuel Enderby". Captain Boomer too was mauled by the white whale and lost a limb which was replaced by a whale bone, but unlike Ahab, boomer was able to maintain his sanity and put the episode behind him. He is more interested in telling Ahab of all the good rum he drank during his recuperation than the gory details of his amputation.
This English-meets-American-blend salutes Cap'n Boomer's love for the demon spirit. Rich Crumb Cut Burley, Carolina and Latakia are cased with a measure of Ship's Rum and aged for several weeks under pressure. Delicious!

    This tobacco was a pleasure to smoke. It was easy to light, tasted great, and this made for a great all around experience. About the flavor, just enough tobacco and Tim so that each enhances the other. I won’t hesitate to buy this again.

    Echoing Nate’s review. Wonderful aroma coming from the container. Wonderful taste and room note. Smokes very cool. Fewer relights, allowing for a more casual smoke. Absolutely no tongue bite. So far, my favorite WCC blend.

    I tried this blend in whim when I was trying to find something else. It is now my daily morning smoke. The flavor in this blend is so fantastic! From start to finish it is wonderful. Burns great, no tongue bite, and very few relights for me. Do yourself a favor and buy some of this.

    I'm a sucker for Melville-themed pipe tobacco, but I was pleasantly surprised to see this was no gimmick. Cap'n Boomer has a nice, super-smooth full, rich flavor and room note. The Rum is there, but it doesn't hit you over the head. Definitely an enjoyable smoke, especially when paired with a tome of maritime literature. Great stuff Watch City!
