Flake #558 (The measured distance in miles between Watch City Cigar and Richmond, VA, plus a couple extra miles for good measure!) This is another of our "Crumble Flakes". (A mixture of cut leaf with some whole leaf added, pressed and sliced thick). Similiar to our "Old Dominion" this rich, dark flake substitutes a rich stoved Virginia for the Matured Virginia. A wonderfully complex flake with a naturally sweet aftertaste is the result. Just a bit less Perique than Old Dominion.
Impressive work with this blend. Very smooth and creamy. Breaks up, packs well and burns consistent. Flavors are very satisfying. Good with coffee or evening beverage (scotch). More on the way soon. Thanks for an excellent product and service.

Let me start off by saying that VaPer style blends are not my favorite. I like them but not as much as other genres. With that said, I love what Watch City has done with this tobacco. It is rich and full of flavor. Burns all the way down with no relights if loaded properly, and did I mention it is oh so good. I highly recommend this blend.
What a great surprise this was! I am not a big fan of Dark Fired, but this blend uses it perfectly for my taste. I am not big on descriptors, suffice it to say that this one is Deep, Dark and Tasty!
I am not the biggest fan of VaPer blends though I will say this by far my favorite. The added Kentucky sets this apart from all the other Perique blends. Must try.

558 is, without a stretch, one of the best values in pipe tobacco today. This along with Old Dominion are lovely blends that absolutely lead the pack for VA/Pers. Smooth, sweet, delicious. I have a jar from early last year and it's aging brilliantly. There's a pungent aged Virginia aroma when I stick my nose in the jar that's simply to do for. If anyone is on the fence, go for it. You won't regret it. In fact, the only thing you WILL regret is not stocking up sooner.
This tobacco is so good and satisfying...I crave it like no other (except maybe Old Dominion!) I love it and can't believe how good it is. Try it and you'll be impressed I am sure of it!
